Hello, hope you are enjoying the holiday season. It’s been a year since I started learning how to sew, and I just wanted to showcase some of my creations. I truly love fashion and this hobby brings me joy. Generally, I am a very a crafty person and I enjoy keeping my hands busy. As you probably know, I am also into cooking and photography – well, pardon my poor iPhone images below. Anyways, I have been incredibly busy from the time I started preparing for my MBA applications last year. I am now finishing my first semester and so far it’s been an amazing journey!! The program is so demanding that there is barely enough time to eat, let alone pursue time consuming hobbies. So most recently, I started learning how to make soap and body butter which is exciting as well, so stay tuned for pictures.

Thanks for visiting and Happy Holidays!!

Hello Everyone,

Hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving holiday! Mine was fantastic and I learned to prepare one of my favorite salad: Arugula and Roasted Pear Salad.

I am extremely excited about today’s post because I am wearing my own creation, the very first dress I have ever sewn – an African print skater dress. I have always wanted to learn to design and sew, so I bought a sewing machine a few months ago, and I have been taking advantage of YouTube tutorials to learn the basics. For this dress, I combined the basic bodice pattern from a book by Tanya Whelan called “Sew Many Dresses, Sew Little Time: The Ultimate Dressmaking Guide”, and a circle skirt pattern from here.

Hope you like my dress. I am really looking forward to many more creations and I will be sharing my journey with you here.

Thanks for visiting

Have a great weekend!

I love cardigans with asymmetrical hems and I get to wear them a lot for an effortless casual look in the fall. These cardigans go very well with skinny jeans, legging, and dresses – well, pretty much everything, and they make your outfit look pulled together! This past weekend was the first weekend of the fall, and it was sunny and chilly at the same. The cardigan I am wearing here can easily get blown open by a light breeze, so I pared it with a wide belt to add closure & accessorize.  Hope you love my outfit :).

Hello everyone, hope you had a wonderful summer!

It has been a very busy season for me, so summer just slipped by. Anyways, I recently visited Mexico and got to wear one of my lovely wardrobe addition from Ann Taylor’s summer collection. It’s a Crochet Trim Halter Dress in Sandwash Red – the color is in between coral and watermelon. I fell in love with this dress since the first time I saw it at the end of winter, but I waited and snatched it in July when it was on a 70% dicsount!! I love the pop of color, the sash, keyhole, halter neck and crotchet details, plus the flowy silhouette –well, I love everything about this dress J! The lining is quite thick, probably too heavy for summer, so I think I will be able to keep wearing this dress during the cold season.

If you don’t know yet, I am obsessed with Ann Taylor, and the good thing is that this shop regularly offers some amazing deals: lots store-wide discount sales within the 40% to 70% range.

Dress: Crotchet Halter Dress by Ann Taylor, available here.

Hello everyone, hope you are enjoying the nice spring weather!

In this post, I am wearing a lovely one piece mustard jumpsuit by Tahari. The color is simply bright, bold and beautiful. I am a big fan of jumpsuits but unfortunately I don’t get to wear them very often. I paired this one piece with Tory’s Sally wedges – they are perfect for everyday wear, office and even going out. These wedges are a must have for professional; they are just a wedge version of Reva flats  but tend to put some weight on the feet. I have been keeping an eye on them for at least a year, and finally bought them last month when there was a discount promotion.

Shoes: Tory Burch Wedges via her website

Jumpsuit: Tahari

Jewry (except stacked bracelets): Banana Republic

Thanks for visiting, have a wonderful week!
