Hello everyone, I can’t believe it has been two month since my last post. I obviously did not want it to be like this, but I have been incredibly busy and I hope to be very active again soon. I still have a backlog of post to make from my Dec/Jan trip back home in Zimbabwe.
Anyway, hope you had a fantastic memorial holiday last weekend. Mine was great and I managed to squeeze in a couple of hours for retail therapy on Sunday.
I am currently obsessed with lace and crotchet dresses, so I wore a relaxed slip in crotchet dress from T.J. Maxx for my shopping trip. I pared this dress with some Michael Kors Sondora flats from 2012. My tote speaks too loud, but I love it, it’s the perfect bag for everyday useJ. The dress is actually of a shift style, but a friend of mine though it looked better with a belt, so I wore it with woven Michael Kors skinny belt that I got many years ago. As for my retail therapy, I only bargained 2 summer items from Banana, they had 40% off on everything and I can’t’ wait to wear my new outfit so stay tuned!
Thanks for visiting!

I started this year with a craving for fish, and this creature now makes it to my dinner table at least once a week :). Here are a few pictures of the Spicy Thai fish I prepared back in February. This was my first attempt at making this dish; it came out okay, but was a bit spicy. I highly recommend the recipe I followed: http://thaifood.about.com/od/thaiseafoodrecipes/r/bakedwholefish.htm
BTW, Onstyleaction is celebrating its one year anniversary, thank you for your continued support!!!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
I love this blazer by Anne Klein, It was a steal from Macy’s at a giveaway price of more than 80% off! It’s very versatile, can be dressed up or down easily and the chic silhouette works for day or evening. The faux leather-trim add a fashion statement without being gaudy. Here, I am paring it with very old and casual B.O.C boots and Ann Taylor tee from 2010.
Oh, I almost forgot to introduce my new baby, the nylon Ella Tote by Tory Burch. This was a prefect gift since I had been coveting it for years and I couldn’t be happier :). It’s my new everyday tote and is available on Tory’s website.
Thanks for visiting, enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Hope you all had a lovely Valentine’s Day and weekend!
Today, I am featuring one of my favorite dresses from Ann Taylor. It’s a charcoal grey crawl neck jersey dress that I got in 2012.This dress was pure love at first sight; well I have to confess that I got it in three different colors; It was going for 60% off and I couldn’t resist the temptation! This grey one has a thicker winter material; it’s the most versatile of the three. It has become my “to go” dinner dress and it is also suitable for the office.
The leather sued boots are my most recent bargain; I got them for FREE from Macy’s. I used my heavy duty coupons as well as my rewards from their thanks for sharing program.
Have a great week!
It has been a very long time since my previous post and I am so excited to be back today. Hope everyone is having a great new year!
I was extremely busy Q4 of last year and I truly missed blogging. A lot of good things have happened and I got to go home in Zimbabwe for the holidays!
Today, I am in Foxwoods Connecticut. The resort is very huge and beautiful. It’s a much laid back environment, so I decided to go with a very casual drawstring sweatshirt dress from Loft, a long & open cardigan from Marshalls, and Clarks Charlie Zip boots in British tan leather. All the major pieces I wore today are from 2012 clearance sales.
Thanks for visiting. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and stay warm!
